Pratt U offers a variety of continuing education programs designed to enhance both professional and personal development, covering skills like communication, collaboration, and leadership. Many programs are tailored to your role, helping you apply new knowledge directly to your job, while others prepare you for career advancement.

Live Training

Orientation for sales representatives who are new to Pratt. Kick start your sales career by learning about Pratt Industries, our paper and box making process and networking with your peers during this four-day training session.

This three-day training course is open to General Managers, Plant Managers and Sales Managers who are new to management or new to Pratt. Attendees will learn about Pratt's company culture and history, the importance of budgets and understanding manufacturing data.

Effective communication is critical to all high-functioning teams. This one-day, in-person training is designed for you to improve your communication skills. This course empowers all employees to speak a common language and develop critical listening skills.

Through a combination of virtual and live sessions, the goals of this training are to adopt and become fluent in one common sales language and to equip the Pratt sales team with the tools it needs to develop structured selling plans. This hybrid program consists of a three-day live training followed by two two-hour virtual sessions.

This workshop will focus on the intersection of leadership and training, emphasizing how leaders can inspire, empower, and equip their teams for success. Leaders will gain practical skills to lead with confidence.

"Take care of your people and do the right thing." These values are core to maintaining Pratt's culture and a key part of this mandatory training for all employees. ACES

Our Advancing Capabilities Empowering Supervisors (ACES) program is a 12-month course designed for frontline supervisors focusing on leadership dynamics, team management and operational excellence. Engage in hands-on employee development, from fostering diversity to practical on-the-job training, ensuring comprehensive growth and performance optimization. *Participation in this course requires a leadership nomination.

Internship Program

Through our internship program, students gain a glimpse into the packaging industry, enabling them to apply their classroom knowledge to practical situations and build essential professional relationships. Students complete meaningful projects and report on their results at the annual Intern Summit.

Maintenance Apprentice Program

This program is a collaboration between corrugator plants and local technical schools to provide a combination of classroom and on-the-job training tailored to the participant’s specific role. Each week, participants spend a half day in the classroom followed by working their normal shifts mentored by onsite coaches.

Masters in Business & Leadership Program

This nomination-based program is designed to help participants broaden their understanding of Pratt’s business and expand your cross-functional network. Through in-person workshops, online classes, and team project work, employees will gain the business acumen and leadership skills needed to manage effectively at Pratt.

Maverick Program

Designed for front line leaders, participants undergo a tailored self-assessment, enabling the identification of curated online learning modules. These online modules are geared towards honing crucial skills necessary for front-line leadership within the organization. This is a nomination based course.
