Automation Packaging Shop Technician

Description

The Automation Packaging Shop Technician is responsible for receiving, stocking and issuing parts and supplies to technicians that are necessary for the maintenance and repairs of machinery in the Pratt Agriculture division at the Dundee Shop location.

Core Responsibilities

  • Inventory Control: Tracking, receiving, sorting, and storage of parts into correct locations.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pulling parts for requisitions and preparing for small parcel shipment.
  • Record Keeping: Using inventory software (e.g., Excel, Limble) to log parts, update inventory levels, and manage databases.
  • Purchasing/Returns: Managing purchase requisitions from technicians to verify if parts are stock or if they need to be ordered and communicate to National Automation Business Systems Manager, supplier returns, and return of warranty parts.
  • Organization: Maintaining a clean and orderly Spare Parts room.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Checking in parts against packing slips, and preparing outbound shipments as directed.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, inventory control, or parts preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills and Microsoft software skills (specifically Excel) are required.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for handling parts and materials.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer service skills.
