Description
Responsibilities of the scale operator located at the Shreveport Mill and MRF are as follows:
- Keying of all loads received into the mill for Recycling/MRF, good communication with drivers.
- Watching camera to make sure docks are full at all times and a truck waiting to pull in as one pulls out.
- Logging the drivers/loads on the receiving log for Mill and MRF
- Checking drivers in and filling out drop tickets for trailers to be dropped on Lot B
- Keep traffic flow for inbound and outbound loads under control as best as possible
- Telephone Communication with Shreveport Office (for issues with release numbers, rejections, etc.)
- Hand writing a docket and notifying MRF when driver arrives to pick-up an outbound load
- Radio Communication with the Waste Yard and MRF
- Notifying shipping when driver arrives with a load of chemical
- Maintaining scale house cleanliness and supplies
