Sales Representative-Agricultural & Industrial Packaging
Location: McAllen, Texas – Pratt Industries
Pratt industries is seeking a driven, ambitious, and results-oriented Sales Representative to join our growing sales team
This position is Ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys developing new business, building long-term customer relationships, and identifying opportunities in the agricultural and industrial packaging markets.
The successful candidate will play an important role in expanding our customer base throughout South Texas and surrounding markets, with a strong emphasis on prospecting, relationship development, and profitable sales growth.
You will work closely with sales management, manufacturing, customer service and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & New customer Acquisition
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within agricultural, industrial and related markets.
- Proactively Prospect for new customers through cold calling in-person visits, referrals, networking and other business development activities.
- Develop relationships with growers, packers, co-packers, distributors, manufacturers and other potential customers.
- Identify opportunities to expand Pratt’s presence throughout the Rio Grande Valley and surrounding areas.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Experience in outside sales, business development, or related customer-facing role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship building and organizational skills.
- A proactive approach to prospecting and generating new business.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally for customer visits and business development.
Preferred
- Experience in Agricultural sales, industrial sales, packaging or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of agricultural markets, including growers, packers and co-packers.
- familiarity with corrugated packaging, box specifications, or related manufacturing processes.
