SUMMARY:

Support the Human Resource Manager in the day-to-day HR operations for the Beloit Corrugator, including recruiting, employee relations, payroll, and personnel record-keeping, and additional duties as assigned by management.

Core Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition: Assist with full-cycle talent acquisition from recruiting to onboarding and exits, including posting job openings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting new hire orientation and exit interviews, all in accordance with established processes, policies, and systems.

Records and Administration: Maintain accurate records, including I9s and personnel files, and assist with attendance administration (attendance tracking, attendance documentation, facilitation of the attendance policy), and audits to ensure accurate workforce records.

Payroll: Administer timekeeping and biweekly payroll processing with support and guidance from the HRM and Payroll Analyst.

Employee Relations: Assist with employee relations investigations, including hotline reports, support timely resolution of workplace concerns, and support a positive company culture.

Benefits: Assist with administration of employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FMLA, vacation, and other paid leave programs.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure operations follow local, state and federal laws, as well as company policies, and promote workplace safety.

Education and/or Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience within the field of Human Resources, payroll, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience in manufacturing within HR or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of employment laws and regulations preferred.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret policies & procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees. Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.

Technical Skills

  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Preferred knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience with ADP or other HRIS’s.

Physical Demands

Employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, sit and stand. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to, while on the manufacturing floor, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be, at times, loud.
