POSITION: Warehouse Forklift Driver

$19.00 - $20.50 – Full Time
Summary Responsible for supplying the machines with raw materials and removing finished goods from the production area by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Operates and cares for forklift in a safe manner. Must be qualified to properly operate the forklift.
- Completes and documents a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turns in maintenance work orders to supervisor when repairs are needed.
- Ensures all orders are kept separate from each other and are stored together and verifies all orders are clearly marked with correct information and are unitized per customer specifications.
- Verifies pallets used are as specified for customer orders being produced.
- Supplies appropriate raw materials to machine area as needed in order to maintain production flow and removes completed units from line as timely as possible to eliminate backup.
- Maintains neat, orderly and safe stacks of stock in storage areas and places all stock in its proper place within the storage area.
- Adheres to daily production schedule and makes recommendations for optimizing schedules to meet cost, quality, delivery and customer service goals.
- Completes necessary reports in a neat, accurate and timely manner which includes but is not limited to tracking raw materials used during the shift.
- Must relieve other forklift drivers for breaks and meal periods at assigned times, assist other forklift operators when needed, train new forklift drivers and cross train in other areas where forklifts are needed.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Utilizes the "Top Gun" feature in Encore to generate accurate Delivery Receipts (DR) for all outbound material.
- Conducts a final audit of truck orders prior to departure to ensure physical load, including material type and quantity, matches documentation provided to the client.
- Oversees the check-in and receiving process for all material loads entering the warehouse, ensuring system entries accurately reflect physical arrivals.
- Assists with physical inventory counts as requested to verify accuracy against system inventory records.
