Job Summary

The Senior Sales & Supply Chain Analyst – Walmart is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for driving growth, operational excellence, and omnichannel performance across Walmart stores and eCommerce. This individual serves as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership and cross-functional partners, leveraging advanced analytics, Walmart systems expertise, and supply chain insight to influence decision-making.

This role owns end-to-end analytics, eCommerce item lifecycle management, SQEP dispute resolution strategy, and supply chain performance optimization, while proactively identifying opportunities to accelerate revenue, improve service levels, and enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales & Business Analytics

  • Lead advanced analytics across Walmart POS, shipments, inventory, and omnichannel performance
  • Translate complex datasets into executive-level insights and strategic recommendations
  • Identify whitespace opportunities, risks, and growth drivers across categories and customers
  • Support and help shape Joint Business Planning (JBP), line reviews, and top-to-top meetings
  • Develop scalable dashboards, reporting frameworks, and KPI governance

eCommerce Item Strategy, Setup & Optimization

  • Support the Account Manager in executing Walmart eCommerce strategy across item setup, content optimization, and digital shelf performance
  • Manage day-to-day item setup and maintenance in Item 360 and Walmart Supplier Center, ensuring accurate and timely execution of updates
  • Maintain high-quality product content by coordinating images, descriptions, attributes, and taxonomy alignment to meet Walmart standards
  • Monitor key eCommerce KPIs (item health, content scores, search visibility, conversion) and flag risks or opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (eCommerce, Marketing, Content) to implement enhancements that improve digital shelf performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve item-level issues such as suppressed listings, content errors, and backend data discrepancies
  • Support new item launches, assortment changes, and modular updates to ensure seamless online execution
  • Prepare insights and reporting to inform the Account Manager’s omnichannel strategy and customer discussions

Supply Chain Strategy & Replenishment Support

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in executing Walmart replenishment and inventory strategies to drive in-stock performance and service levels
  • Analyze key supply chain metrics including in-stock, OTIF, fill rate, inventory levels, and forecast accuracy, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Monitor inventory flow across Walmart distribution centers and stores, flagging potential out-of-stocks or excess inventory risks
  • Partner with internal teams (planning, logistics, customer supply chain) to align on forecasts, production, and shipment execution
  • Assist in planning and execution of new item launches, modular resets, and seasonal builds
  • Prepare reporting and insights to support supply chain reviews, customer meetings, and internal decision-making
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve
  • Serve as backup to the Supply Chain Manager during periods of absence by processing GRS orders

SQEP Dispute Strategy & Compliance Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end process for SQEP dispute management, deduction recovery, and compliance improvement
  • Analyze trends across deductions and violations to identify systemic root causes
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce SQEP penalties and improve execution across labeling, packaging, ASN accuracy, and routing
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Walmart compliance programs and requirements
  • Deliver regular reporting on deduction recovery, trends, and financial impact to leadership

Walmart Systems & Data Expertise

  • Act as the internal expert on Retail Link, Walmart Scintilla, and SQEP dashboards, and DSS/SCO reporting
  • Standardize reporting and data interpretation across teams
  • Train and mentor junior analysts and cross-functional partners on Walmart tools and analytics

Promotional, Pricing & Category Insights

  • Lead analysis of promotional effectiveness including rollbacks, features, digital campaigns, and omnichannel activations
  • Provide strategic pricing recommendations based on elasticity, competitive landscape, and category dynamics
  • Partner with Customer Strategy and Account Managers to build compelling, data-driven selling stories

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a key partner to Sales Directors, Account Managers, Customer Strategy Manager, and Walmart stakeholders
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Supply Chain, Creative, and R&D teams
  • Influence decisions through data-driven storytelling and executive-level presentations

Ad Hoc Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead high-impact, fast-turn analyses for leadership and customer requests
  • Support innovation launches, assortment decisions, and long-term growth strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics, reporting, and operational processes

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in CPG, Walmart sales, supply chain, or retail analytics
  • Deep expertise in Walmart Retail Link and Walmart Scintilla
  • Proven experience managing eCommerce platforms (Item 360, Supplier Center)
  • Strong knowledge of Walmart supply chain operations and replenishment systems
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Ability to travel for short periods of time
  • Role requires full-time presence in the office

Preferred

  • Direct experience leading Walmart or Sam’s Club omnichannel business
  • Expertise in SQEP compliance, deductions management, and dispute resolution
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization
  • Background in Category Management or Shopper Insights
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior team members

This position requires work in both an office setting and possibly manufacturing setting. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Office areas may or may not be environmentally controlled. Work often requires after-hours communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the manufacturing setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures depending on weather conditions. While working in the manufacturing area, the employee may work in areas where there is moving warehouse equipment and must exercise care to avoid injury in these environments.
