POSITION TITLE: PAYROLL ANALYST
REPORTS TO: DIVISIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
SUMMARY
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for leveraging data analytics to identify opportunities and
drive initiatives that enhance operational excellence, while also providing operational assistance
and processing payroll.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process bi-weekly/weekly payroll using ADP platform.
- Process changes to employee records in ADP.
- Provide analytical reports to assist operations.
- Audit payroll data: research, evaluate, and ensure payroll issues and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain payroll records.
- Drive initiatives that enhance operational excellence across the organization.
- Assist in the development of new processes and procedures.
- Serve as a resource and liaison between departments, employees, HR Business Partners, Controllers, and other internal or external groups.
- Expected to quickly reprioritize work in order to minimize liability exposure for Pratt and its employees.
- Special projects and additional duties will be assigned on a regular basis.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Minimum of 2 years Payroll Related Experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer literate (proficient in MS Office, & Google Platforms)
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
2 Year Associates Degree
Experience in manufacturing
Strong recruiting background
Familiar with garnishments, payroll tax, etc.
ADP Vantage; Workforce Manager experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret financial statements, general business periodicals, professional
journals, operating and maintenance instructions, regulatory laws and manuals, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate
effectively with customers and employees of the company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished
in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel)
